𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐄𝐀, 𝐂𝐈𝐂𝐂𝐒, 𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫, 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 The Catanduanes State University (CatSU) College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) and Center for Island and Climate Change Solutions (CICCS), in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Catanduanes, will conduct the first-ever Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Seminar and Exhibit on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑, 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐒𝐔 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦. With the theme, “𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝: 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐖𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲,” the event aims to equip participants with knowledge on disaster and emergency communication, as well as the latest alternative communication systems. Furthermore, the exhibit will showcase projects by CatSU engineering students, among others, in the field of alternative communication systems and disaster management.
